The Noble County Information Technology Department is located in the Noble County Annex, 109 N York Street in Albion.
The mission of the Noble County IT Department is to provide technical oversight and assistance to all county government offices and the citizens we serve. We deliver front-line support for software used by the 19 offices/agencies that belong to county government; procure and deploy computers, network, and communications hardware; protect, backup, and handle disaster recovery and business continuity for county offices; maintain the county's cybersecurity posture; assist in maintaining the county website; and on occasion leap out of tall buildings in a single bound.
The department is headed by IT Director Dave Baum, a 39-year veteran technology leader in both the private and public sector. Dave has held positions such as Chief Technical Officer, Technical Marketing Manager, and Chief Engineer for a number of companies both large and small. For the past 20 years, he has been instrumental in the management of Noble County government's information. Dave has a BS in Engineering from The Ohio State University, and an MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business.
Additional technical leadership is provided by Deputy Director Nathan Jones. Nate has a BS in Information Systems from Purdue University, along with more than a decade of experience in local government and education IT. The technical staff includes IT Specialists Jennifer Brankle-Minier (AAS-IT) and Cory Wilson (AAS-IT), each of which bring years of IT support experience to the department.
Our goal is simple: We use technology to continuously improve the efficiency of local government operations and provide excellent access of all government functions to the public.
